So I have an Intel Mac Pro, 12gb ram, 2 x dual core Xeon. 250gb SSD, 3TB Sata Drive. GTX 560 graphics card. Lion 10.7.5..

It was working fine then I updated to 10.7.5 and then the mac wouldn't boot. j I turned it on, it chimed.. but screen never came on.. no logo, no white screen, no grey screen.. just no screen at all, blackness. The monitor is working fine with other computers and the graphics card was working perfectly before I updated.

I have tried resetting PRAM and SMC, Tried Safe-booting, Tried booting off another drive and booting of an install boot disk. Nothing I do works.

Put back in your original graphics card and try reinstalling the nvidia drivers

Ok that sort of worked but I had to use Command R to do a disk repair and then had to reinstall lion from a boot drive.

Then my new graphics card wouldn't work properly and wouldn't give me sound at all.. so I had to upgrade to mountain lion _(not updating to 10.7.5 again after last time) then download nvidia agai to get my graphics card to have sound.

Hopefully now it will work. Why is Apple so annoying with crappy updates that mess everything up and terrible compatibility?

You were using a non-apple supported card right? I myself run a GTX 680 that has no support from Apple, pointless moaning about it as Apple will say it's not supported.
