Mac Pro won't fall asleep

I have the 2013 Mac Pro, with a few upgrades and extras. It falls asleep just fine when I prompt it to, but not on it's own...

On the TB2 channels I have a few external devices, and I think they are what's preventing sleep:

• Apple Thunderbolt Display w. a bunch of USB devices
• Apple Cinema Display w. a bunch of USB devices
• 500GB LaCie Rugged SSD
• Sonnet Echo Express box w.
  - Accelsior 1TB
  - Sonnet Tempo Pro w. 2x500GB Samsung SSDs

On the USB channels I only have a card reader and my keyboard.

I run Yosemite and all my apps are fully upgraded...

It's a bit annoying that the system doesn't go to sleep by itself, but of course I can live with it. However, if someone has any suggestions, I am all ears...

pmset -g assertions

in terminal and see what's keeping you awake. Post the output if you can't make heads or tails of it.

Do you or have you installed some sort of audio program? Like Boom or anything else? Is a music player still running like iTunes? If the answer is no to all these, try a SMC reset and check pmset again.

Wow - yes I have Boom running... So you're saying that Boom is preventing my MP from sleeping...

Why will it sleep on command, but not by itself though?

Your system is telling you that. Sleep on command overrides system sleep flags.
