Hi. I just got a Mac Pro and it gets power but doesn't turn on. The power light lights up when I press it, but no audio or video. I haven't used it so not sure what model, but its the one that looks like a G5 (this one is Intel) I think it is the Mac Pro 2,1 but it might be older and/or newer. If you find any info that'd be great. Thank you!

Open the side panel door, if its an older older model (1,1-3,1), when pressing the power button have a look to see if there are any red LEDs either on the RAM riser boards or the logic board behind the RAM. This will indicate if there's an issue anywhere.

I haven't tried yet but what can I do if there are red lights?
It depends on where the red lights are. If they are on the RAM riser boards then that indicates a RAM issue. If its elsewhere then it could be either logic board or CPU's.

So if its blinking on the RAM riser card I can just replace the RAM but if it is on the logic board I probably can't do anything about it?
