Hi there,

Now that it's confirmed that the Mac Pro gets Xeon processors instead of a high-end Core 2 Duo chip, do you guys think it's possible that the next iMac revision will feature a Core 2 Duo (Conroe/Desktop, not Merom) to further differentiate it from the MacBook's and possibly MacBook Pro's? Seeing as the iMac used to have a G5, while the iBook and PowerBooks had G4s, I think this might be possible. But I'm sure someone here would know if this is even remotely possible with regard to heat issues in such a small enclosure. So ... what do you think?

Just curious: If the iMac did get a Conroe CPU, would this remove the current 2GB memory limit?

Note: I thought this would fit this section as I'm considering waiting for updated iMac's on the upcoming Paris expo I've read about here.

The memory size limit is simply a controller/firmware issue.
