Sometimes in the middle of the night, my wife's iMac lights up. She says she doesn't have any applications running (no triangle under Mail, etc), but the screen, which was in power save mode, goes bright, showing the default screen saver.

How do we stop this?

what kind of mouse do you have? Laser? Could it be moving?

Do you have bluetooth turned on? If so, turn it off.

Wifi turned on? If you don't use it, turn it off.

Make sure ALL programs are not running. Did you do the latest security updates? If not, download them.
