Mac separate screen

If I have a busted LCD screen on Desktop 1311, can I hook up to another monitor and have the info come up on there. No we already broke the LCD cable and screen we ordered to replace original. TIA

There are quite a few models that match correspond to the A1311 model number. Which model do you have exactly?

If you plug in an external monitor you can use CMD+F1 to mirror the display.

Its 21.5 desktop. 2010 . Thinking model has 509 in it. Thank you going to try what you said.
