I thought it would be cool to discuss what games we hope/wish will come to Mac through Steam.

This is my list:
  • Plants vs Zombies
  • Classic Dooms
  • Doom 3
  • Pretty much all the Quakes
  • Call of Duty 4

I know these games have been released for Mac, however I would like to actually buy them properly through Steam, rather than kill the industry and pirate them like I did before.

Defense Grid: The Awakening (honestly it's THE best tower defence game of all time)
All id games
Audiosurf
LAL TF2!!
Half Life 1 and expansion packs
FUEL and GRID
Oblivion and Fallout 3

Thems would be nice.

Not counting Valve's Source games since they are obviously coming, it would be:
Trackmania
America's Army 3
AudioSurf

I'd like to see some of the classic Origin games ported to Mac... Although most of these would play fine in Parallels/Fusion to be fair. But, games like the Wing Commander series or Crusader series would be great to play natively in OSX :) I'd even love to see the older Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines ported (one of the first Source engine games and is on Steam but, Windows only).

It'd be nice if they bring the games using dosbox over, such as the X-com series

Definitely agree, and since DOSBox runs great on OS X (how I was playing Dark Forces after Mac Intel and before Steam release) ... I really hope that happens.

Chalk me up for:
- Jedi Knight games
- Knights of the Old Republic
- Soldier of Fortune 2 (OK, it isn't on Steam ...)
- Unreal and the rest of the series
- SiN

... and, oh yeah, Dragon Age

Aha. And what kept you from buying them on CD/DVD from Amazon or at a local store?

No Mac games are sold at all in my area unfortunately, and on Amazon/Play.com they were way too overpriced. Hopefully, Steam will continue it's trend of being relatively cheap.

I've seen the error in my old software pirate ways and I'm cleaning up my act. I've even deleted MS-Office for Mac and bought iWork 09.
