Have this issue currently with my Mac Studio + two 30" ACD's. It won't wake from sleep unless you pull out the USB cables from the Mac Studio. I'm not sure if it's the adapter I'm using that's causing it.

Any ideas why this is happening and a possible solution. Or do I need to try a new adapter? Some research suggests a Club 3D CAC-1510-A HDCP Off adapter works, however some inconsistency, lines and flickering issues have been reported with this adapter..

Has anyone tried an adapter with multiple 30" ACD's on the Mac Studio that works seamlessly with no issues?

I had this issue with a Samsung G9. I ran video from my Caldigit TS3+ and it was better. Getting a new cable seemed to fix it permanently, and I now run video from the Mac Studio directly without wake issues.

With this adapter everything works as expected. The monitor falls asleep and wakes up normally. The only problem is that if you use additional screens connected in other ways (e.g. HDMI), they wake up at different times, and recent operating systems (as far as I remember since Big Sur in some version, earlier I never had problems with this) do not handle this very well, so sometimes, open windows land on a different screens in a random order.

The red, green or blue snow on the dark background is probably the result of the lack of additional power required by the original Apple’s DualLink adapter. https://www.apple.com/sg_smb_5200/shop/product/MB571Z/A/mini-displayport-to-dual-link-dvi-adapter

Some old RX560/580 graphics cards were able to display 2560 x 1600 resolution on ACD 30" also without this expensive adapter but with the same snow effect. Others simply didn't allow for the this resolution. It's not clear to me if it's too weak signal/interference or something else.

In summary, it is possible to use the ACD 30" with this adapter fairly normally, but it is not a solution without drawbacks. From what I read about the problems that have M1/M2 Macs running under the control of Monterey and Ventura in multiscreen setup, in general I wonder if there is any non-apples monitor that does not cause problems today....
