My Mac studio will not connect to my pace 5268ac over ethernet with a connection fast enough to load a simple web page.
Things I have tried.

took Mac to apple store. worked fine there.
replaced ethernet cables/ tested cables with other devices.
set hardware settings to manual 1000baseT/Full-Duplex (on both Mac and router)
replaced router with new one (same model) from at&t.
restarted computer, restarted router.

wifi works 200-300 mbps
ethernet over adapter works 100 mbps

Is there anything I haven't tried or could try?

Have you tried letting the hardware set itself up automatically rather than manually?

Do you have another Ethernet device that you can connect to? You may also want to try using an Ethernet switch between the two devices.

I thought of that but don't have a switch laying around. At&t are sending a bgw210. Lets see if that works.

I don’t think you are alone on this. I keep getting drops when using the Ethernet port on device. Using the Ethernet on my OWC Thunderbolt dock has no issues. Hopefully it’s a software problem because I really wanted built in 10 Gbe

If your Ethernet connection is dropping, try configuring it manually and make sure that one of the “energy-efficient Ethernet” choices is NOT enabled.
