Fresh install planned here too. I’ve probably 20 years of migrations, right back to the powerpc days so time for a fresh start. Three accounts to do too.
They tried to take my money two days after the order, which was made on 8 March. They threatened to cancel my order, so I gave them the money on 14 March. In the meantime, they decided to get money from the account a second time, because as they said - authorization has expired on their side. However, my bank return the money after the maximum pre-authorization time - 14 days. During some time, my account was double charged. Finally, I have recovered money from pre-authorization taken 14 March. This is the last time I pay with a credit card. Next time I will top up my gift card and use it to pay.
I think it’s because the computers were supposed to come earlier. I also got charged twice after making an order on March 8th. My initial delivery estimate was for March 21–24, but after they made the first charge two days after the order, it was pushed back to April 1–5.
UPS now updated to today between 11am and 2pm (EDT), shipping to New Jersey. I am finding this hard to believe since things typically make their way to Louisville, Kentucky followed by Newark, New Jersey, and then a local hub near me. I am part of the Shanghai 3/26 10:15pm crew:
Mine is in the same batch. Cleared customs today at 8:12 AM, estimated delivery today by 8 PM.

Yeah, once they land in Louisville, I bet they update to tomorrow. Unless Apple put some kind of fire under their feet and they are expediting things (we can hope)
The only way for us to get the Studios delivered today is if the UPS91 flight pilot decide to start parachuting our packages over our houses as soon he reaches US airspace 🤣 Otherwise, it's going to be tomorrow my friend
🤣 I just find this ridiculous. I don't mind it coming tomorrow, I just want accurate estimates so I can plan around it. Same batch here. I have an estimated delivery of tomorrow between 11:45 am and 2:45 pm. I'm on the U.S. west coast.
Mine has left Minneapolis on its way to the local distribution center. Still hoping for delivery today.

From the other threads I have been reading, I think our Mac Studios can just use their fans to fly themselves to us directly from the plane.

For those keeping track, I placed my order on March 8th (about 15 minutes after the event), pre-authorizations were placed on my credit card on March 10th and 18th, got DHL tracking code on March 22nd, it actually arrived in Europe on March 29th and it reached Finland and my doorstep on March 30th. Otherwise base model Max except with a 1 TB SSD.
Congrats! My order from 8th (1-2 hours after event) is still stuck with 'Shipment information received' (DHL) status with no movement in tracking since 23 March.
My Mac Studio was on the last flight out of Anchorage yesterday and made it through the several steps to get into Canada at Mississauga, over to Concord, and onto the truck for delivery today. Considering the covid lockdown at assembly time, covid delays at Shanghai, and then an unusually long clearance delay in Anchorage, UPS pulled this out of the fire at the last minute. Delivery ahead of the earliest Apple estimate from when the order was placed. Much drama in this thread but a fair amount is really self induced, no?
Hey, as we dutch say "we are in the same boat"> I ordered around the same time, have received the same status update as you but on the 24th. Someone from apple service indicated yesterday that the status was now "uplift" and that it should land somewhere yesterday evening... but so far no status change... still "information received"...
For many of us, the drama was because the estimates were way off. For example, mine is still an hour away en route to the Louisville hub, and supposedly I will get it today between 11-2. In my case, that estimate is laughable, but if it was reasonable, I might have had to stay home to be sure something this expensive was not left at my door.
This whole logistics dance is undoubtedly impressive, and how it works so well. I wish the estimates were more accurate so I could better plan.
