Hi everyone, I have had this issue for a while it goes up and then drops again and then it goes up and stays there for a long time. I have been reading about it and some forums say to eras the caches some others say no.I work with design and architecture and I know the files are big and take a lot of virtual memory .

I havent seen anyone solving this problem , But its pretty annoying and time cosuming.

Any thoughts on what to do ? thanks

Download DiskWave from here:
It's small in size and free.

Open DiskWave and go to the preferences.
Put a checkmark in "show invisible files".
Close preferences.

The DiskWave window shows you all your volumes and drives in plain English (no ridiculous graphical formats).
Click on any item "on the left". Give it time to "digest".
Now, look to the right, you'll see what's ON the volume, listed in order of "largest to smallest".
You can easily locate what's eating up your space.
