Does anyone know how to setup an external USB adapter with the Mac Studio? I have a KVM switch to switch a Studio Display between a Windows Box and a Mac Studio and I want to share the wireless mouse and keyboard via a BlueTooth dongle plugged into the display.

I have tried:

sudo nvram SkipIOBluetoothHostControllerUARTTransport=%01
and
sudo nvram bluetoothHostControllerSwitchBehavior=always

But neither appears to switch off the internal Bluetooth device.

I don’t think it has any effect on external devices. You would, however, likely need to use a Bluetooth driver and app provided by the dongle’s vendor to be able to pair with devices, as the Mac’s Bluetooth stack would be unavailable.

Ah that's great thanks. I ordered a Hideez device. ASUS BT400 and BT500 dont work at all.

Hi. Yes it works. Doesn't play so nice when used in a switched KVM setup along with the display to a PC though.
