Seems a bit of a hassle, and I have a cluttered tesk, so moving the Mac extensively wouldn't be an ideal option.

No harder than turning a computer tower around or getting behind it to access the usb ports. Even though the iMac weighs a good 20-30lbs, it turns rather easy, and the ports are near the right edge of its back.

I ran a powered USB hub which I mounted on the wall next to my desk which is SOOOO convenient. I never have to reach around the MAC. You could also mount it on the side of the desk panel. Trust me, you will love this idea

I never move my iMac to access the USB ports. It's rather easy to reach the USB ports with your right hand. You can always get a USB hub to make things easier.

USB isn't too bad, especially because you don't have to access them very often. If you find it annoying for flash drives and such though, grab a couple of THESE and your life will be happy and joyful :)

Now, if they could move the headphone jack to the side instead of the back, I'd be thrilled.

The whole point of an iMac, I thought, was to reduce clutter on you desk. You seem to be failing :D

Just be sure to get the WIRED Apple keyboard which has 2 USB ports and you’ll be settled.
