I have installed windows, the first time I booted it worked, but now it doesn't. It sits there with a black screen.Doesn't make it to the windows XP symbol.
I have a 17 inch iMac, Intel Core Duo,SuperDrive,1.83GHZ,160GB HD. I did not need to say that, just wantedto brag ;)

Still here.
Sounds like Windows is running just fine to me.
I still wish ALL Mac's were incapable of running Windows, to be honest.
By the way, brag all you want, I have the same machine with 1GB of RAM. It's quite a machine!

Ah the joys of Windows.

Try holding down F8 on boot to see if it'll let you get to the menu that will allow you to try and boot into Safe Mode.

F8 does not work. At first I get a similar thing compared to the hard disk selection that shows which os i want to boot, I choose windows xp home edition(the only option. I hit f8 and hold it a second later, nothing happens.

Sounds like windows is operating normally. Sorry for stealing that someguy...
