Prior to Sierra, my Mac laptop would remember which printer was associated with which network. When I was at work and tried to print something, the print dialog box would select the printer at my office. And when at home and tried to print something, the print dialog box would default to the printer I had at my house. The OS would remember which printer was associated with each network. But now when I am at home and try to print something, it always selects my work printer by default. I usually only figure it out when it never prints and then I go look and see that it is trying to print on my work printer which it can't because I'm not on that Wifi network. Anyway to fix this?

I'm seeing that there are some app than can help solve this issue but it used to work all by itself without a 3rd party app. I don't remember when it stopped working but definitely since upgrading to Sierra. I can't find any setting in Sys Pref that might make this work

It sounds like your System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Default Printer has your work printer selected. "Last Printer Used" should be the right choice. Per Mac Help:
Default printer - If you choose Last Used Printer, macOS remembers the printer you used most recently at that network location.

Thank you! I bet that is it. The default was set to my work printer. I bet that will fix the issue.
