My Macbook 13" 2 GHz Duo just started getting strange issues with it's magsafe.

Basically, when plugged in, the magsafe stays on the green 'fully-charged' light, and does not supply any power to the macbook or it's battery, even though it has little/no charge.

Plugging in the magsafe causes the mac to wake from it's low-power induced sleep, though it goes back to sleep almost instantly due to low battery (as though the magsafe was not plugged in).

I'm fairly sure it's the magsafe, because I borrowed the one from a friend's MacBook Pro, and it works fine.

I've googled for magsafe/battery problems, but I can't find any similar to mine.

Any ideas? Should I give up on that charger and just get a new one? Apple should cover it, I think still under warranty... Thanks.

If you are still under warranty, Apple will replace it (I'd bring both the MB and the MagSafe connector just to be sure it's not the MB). They exchange mine no questions asked (My MagSafe connector LED wouldn't light up).
