iSight is no longer functioning on anything, including FaceTime. Is there anything I can do besides restoring from backup? 10.10.3 runs much smoother, apart from this issue.

Is the iSight appearing in System Information?

I wish I could have checked. I should probably think before I make a post here. After a simple restart the problem resolved itself. Still very weird, I don't think I've ever had an update do that. Although 10.10.2 forced me to restore everything after a complete failure to boot with the big ? on the screen. I guess the 5,1 is getting really dated and it being not so much of a priority might be starting to show.

Thanks for trying to help, appreciated it.

Glad you got it fixed!
