Hey guys

I have read about others that had this problem. Unless one of the black plastic feet are missing from underneath your Air, it's a bent chassis. I'm guessing you didn't cause this yourself (you need quite a lot of force to bend a macbook air). Try contacting Apple to see if you can have the computer replaced, I've heard about others getting their rocking computers replaced for free.
try moving the macbook air and check if it's still rocking, becauae mine did that and i moved the mba and it was not rocking anymore.
might be a wavy table's surface.
just to add my macbook is immaculate.
i have full wrapsol on it and its covered in a sfbags suede case and then placed into a neoprene bubble case
maybe some of the screws are not tight, i opened my macbook pro while ago and found it to be rocking, i realized that one of the screw was not tight, so i made it tight again and problem solved.
and if i were u, i demand a full replacement of the unit, don't let them mess up your mba by changing the bottom chassis, it's a new product, getting it into service center because of slight rocking problem is not worth it, you might get your mba scratched after the service is done.
thanks mate
i am very anal about even the slightest scratches. i even imported autosol anodised aluminium polish to keep it pristine this on top the SF suede, Neoprene case and Wrapsol.
How do you suggest I insist on a full replacement? What if they ask me to bring it down again? Should i go with no this is an inferior product?
can u try putting it down on a glass surface? im very curious about the table's surface because my rev B mba does that, but not at all on a glass surface.
yep it does on a glass surface. tried it on multiple glass and plastic and wood surfaces. confirmed warping. how do i argue with the customer relations officer
that's good to hear, because if it's rocking on any surface, then it will be easier to show the customer service about the problem, and because it's a pretty new machine (line up), just say that you demand a new one and don't want the machine to be opened up, hell it's not like an old macbook that is almost out of warranty and say that it's pretty annoying to type while the rocking occurs.
hope they will understand and will give you a new one.
yup mine is around 1 month old as mentioned. crappy thing is that there isnt an apple store in my country so no genius
well, just to make u feel better, i live in indonesia, my online apple store is http://store.apple.com/id but the office is in singapore (ang mo kio), and now the indonesian online store is not even selling macs anymore since apple is pissed because of our custom clearance office is full of corrupted people.
so now we only can buy acessories and iPods in the online apple store, and the authorized resellers here are slow as a nail to get the latest released macs, so we had to buy it from hongkong or singapore by scalpers.
for your information, i paid about US $1,250 for a base 1.4ghz 11" mba with 4gb of ram and 64gb of ssd, by which i should have paid only $999. but i got it so fast, maybe about 2 weeks after it was launched in the US.
the new macbook airs were only sold officialy in indonesia by authorized resellers 2 months ago.
it sadens me to see lot of people still buying the original iPad without knowing that the iPad 2 has been launched by apple. the original i
ad just arrived here officialy 3 months ago. that's sad.
