Okay well I am currently the owner of a original macbook air. I love it! The thing I love about it the most is it's sleekness, but it's just not internally god:(( I have 2 gigs of ram and alot of times when I use my computer I end up using it all, and it becomes really slow:(( I have sold it on ebay and I am now looking at the macbook air 11" and the macbook pro 13" and 15". I don't know if I should trade beauty for power! So I am wondering how good the macbook air 11" preforms, and if I will see a big difference between size in the macbook pro! I am scared the macbook pro will be thick! One of the main reasons why I want a macbook pro is because I can have 8 gigs of ram:D

What do you do on your computer? What applications do you frequently use? Do you take your laptop all over the place, in which case you'd benefit from increased portability? An 11in MBA and a 13/15in MBP can serve very different purposes.

Have an 11" and love it....

I HAD the uber 11 .... 128SDD and 4gb RAM. Loved it, but a while back decided that I didn't NEED it. SO I sold it. Mistake #1. I bought a simple 11" back ...64gb and 2gb ram. I only use it for meetings, and on trips where the MBPro 15 can't come out and play. Basically I use it a LOT! I love the form factor, the speed is just fine, and only using 50% of the storage. I have MS Office, and all the goodies that I need on it. I use DropBox so all the real stuff is on the cloud. It is a great system. I also carry an iPad 1 32gb 3G unlimited and a MBPro i5 15" with a 256 SSD. I am a developer (Windows) and this is perfect!

Wait for the new MBAirs with Sandy Bridge. It's worth it!

Well I mostly just use firefox with around 3 tabs open, frostwire and itunes alot, skype every now and then! The computer will probably leave my house oround 6-10 times a year! It will be just a basic computer used mostly for the internet. I am buying off ebay so I probably wont be buying new, I leaning really close to the macbook pro but I fell in love with my macbook air I don't know if I could switch:(

Well an MBA or MBP can do anything you're looking to do, so what it comes down to is personal preference. Do you need a disc drive? Do you want a screen bigger than 11 inches? You'd probably benefit more from the MBA's SSD than an MBP's increased processing power. Have you considered a 13in MBA?
