hi

i have recently entered the world of Apple and im loving the ride so far, suprise i never noticed them before....

well i have a bit of a dilema... please can anyone add some sense to my thoughts...

im looking to buy a 13" laptop and im either going to get a macbook air with the following spec 2.13ghz 4gig 256g hd @ a cost of £1,500

or a macbook pro 13 2.66ghz, 4gig 320g hd @ a cost of £1,000 off ebay

now i want portability, and to be able to play the odd game of cod mw2 and general emails, web browsing etc, music etc....

now i know these machines are not games machines but which one will play them the best?

i was even thinking of a macbook pro 15" I7 but its just a little big.. but i could get one for the price i would be paying for the macbook air...

anyone got any sensible ideas they can share.

thanks alot

Ian

Also keep in mind what graphics are in the ebay and used MBP you found. The new Air has 320M which is something like twice as fast as the 9400 in the 13". Check out some vids of people gaming on the 13" specced out air and I think you'll be surprised.

hi mate

the macbook on ebay is the latest version with the 320 chipset, they are selling brand new ones for £1,000 but they are the US version but the box is sealed.. and is shipped from the UK. i have bought from them in the past.

i will have a look for some you tube videos, saw some on the macbook pro 13" running medal of honor and they looked impressive for the spec..

thanks alot

Just FYI, you may have noticed the new benchmarks that show the new 13" MBA is as powerful as a 13" MBP. Yes, the MBP is disadvantaged because it has an HD, but still, pretty impressive performance from an MBA.
