Can some please help me? Macbook won't boot :( I formatted and installed katalina but that didn't help.
What's interesting is that it runs in safe mode fine

I did reset the PRAM and SMC like 50 times lol I also tried downgrading to Mojave but it hangs in the middle of installation. Any other suggestions?

Although this is not going to help much, chances are big it has something to do with the logic board. The modelnumber you gave means its a 2013-2017 MacBook Air, if it's a 2013 or 2015 my experience with those machines suggest it's a logic board issue.

It's late 2016 macbook, it was working fine but when it ran out of battery it wouldn't restart so I restore it and got stuck.

How comfortable are you with disconnecting and taking it apart? That might be your next step and see what is wrong with the hardware internally?
If there was a hardware problem wouldn't the apple diagnostics find it?

Not necessarily.

I was trying to fix a mid-2014 15" for a friend because it would suddenly shutdown with no warning. This could happen after using it for a few seconds or a few hours. It passed the on-board diagnostics and ASD.
