I was reading and old review of the macbook air on apple insider and at the last page of the 5page review they have high quality pictures showing off the air at different angles. Some of them are showing the trackpad and u can clearly see what looks to be a glass coating, much in the same way as the new macbook and pro has.

Knowing that the air was the first computer that got the "brick" enclosure without apple telling us about it untill recently. Maby they wanted to save this little cool atribute also?

Here are the pictures, u have to scroll down a bit. Let me know what you think

It would not have the large physical button along the bottom of the trackpad if it were glass. It's already been determined that it doesn't have this feature.

did you look at the pictures? just because you cant press it down or doesnt have the same finish as the later macbooks does not mean it could not be glass.

We all know it does not have "THE" glass pad, but maby "A" glass pad.
How many would have noticed that the macbooks actually had a glasspad if Apple didnt tell you? It does not look like glass or feel like it imo.

All i am saying is look at the pictures from my original link and look at the trackpad. It really look like glass when the flash hit it at an angle that close.

Our MBP's (classic) trackpad looks like the Air's in those pictures when shooting with flash. Does that mean it has glass trackpad too?

Yeah really, there is no reason for Apple to conceal the fact that they put in a glass trackpad in the new airs.
