I didn’t exactly know where this question went so apologize if not here. I am so confused on what adapter I need to connect my 2024 M3 Macbook Air to an old but very good Canon 5D Mark III camera. Of course the camera cable that I have to do that has a USB end that is supposed to connect to my computer. I used to use this camera until 2019, my husband got sick and I cared for him till he died, lost all interest in photography. Time has passed, still greatly miss him, but want to start taking pictures again. Can’t afford to replace what was an expensive camera But I did get a new Macbook Air and cannot figure what I need to connect this laptop to that Canon camera to download photos to the Macbook Air to edit. Can anyone advise me of a cable that will work, hopefully from Amazon? Thank you for reading this long question

This simple adaptor should do the trick.

there
there are many sd card with an usb_c adapters as well
were one use the memory card in the camera instead of the extra c adapters.

You are correct, but I’m 99.9% sure that OP’s camera uses a compact flash memory card, and I don’t believe they make a standalone CF card to usb-c adapter.
