This might sound crazy but is it true that the hard drive in the Macbook Air and iPod Classic are the same? If so, where can I get the iPod hard drive without buying a iPod Classic 160GBs?

Macbook Air and Installing a 1.8" 160GB hard drive

The 160GB hard drive is thicker than the 80GB one. This may be the reason why Apple didn't include it as it wouldn't physically fit. I'm not sure if it would. I am more inclined to believe that having a 160GB standard drive on MacBook Air would discourage people even more from dropping to a 64GB SSD though.

I have installed the 160 GB hard drive too, but i think it is a lot slower than the original 80 gb hard drive.

Especially when booting the computer up it is very slow.
