I have a macbook air that just beeps when I try and start it up. I should note that this is the original 2008. I have since replaced it, but like to keep the older model as part of my collection. Is there any way to fix this, I would enjoy if this was still running.

If you have a repeating sequence of beeps (3 short, 3 long, then 3 short), try disconnecting the power and also the battery for one minute. Reconnect, and you should be good to go.

You could have some other sequence (one per second may be a RAM problem, or a repeating series of 5 could indicate that the battery is failing), but I think neither of THOSE would beep, only flash the sleep LED, but I might be wrong about that.
