Macbook Air+Cinema Display

Hello,

I own a Rev B and I am considering the Apple Cinema Display however I was curious as to how the wires hold up being that they are kinda tied together and the power port is on the opposite side of the display port. I also am curious about the performance with the lid closed. I would love to turn this into a desktop but I want to make sure the performance doesn't take a hit when the Cinema Display is plugged in. If you have both please share a review. Thank you in advance.

I've been using another 24" display and it works very well. No noticeable lags at all. I'm sure the Apple LED would work equally as well if not better.

Just got my LED display last friday from my local Apple Retail store. First monitor had backlight issues, and they happily replaced it. This new one is a lot better. As for the wires, they are designed to fit exactly for the air so there shouldn't be any problems there. I haven't really noticed a performance hit, although the fans do tend to come on more often when im streaming videos online (NBC, youtube) or playing video on itunes/VLC. It can get loud at times, but overall its not a big deal. If you're just using it for web surfing/microsoft office/ichat, the fans will stay quiet.

I plug my MBA Rev A into a 30" LCD and I do not notice any lag at all. Many times I will have both screens running and have not noticed any problems with performance as long as I do not keep all of my applications running at the same time. The newer MBA's have a much better graphics cards that should also help with the increased video load.
