This is just hypothetical, not that I think it will actually happen, especially with the news we've received over the past couple of days about black

Aluminum is a material, not a color (erm, I guess aluminum has a specific color, in this case). Apple could do the MBA in any color if the aluminum is anodized (which allows Apple to use dyes in the manufacturing process).

I'd like black or white, I think. Brushed aluminum would be awesome, also!

its a type of finish, hp uses it and so do other companies

That'd be pretty interesting. Serious question though, do people use their laptops outside that often? I guess if you had your computer next to a window or computed in very well lit rooms? It wouldn't hurt I guess... but may look strange or be very fragile.

It's interesting how, for a pretty long time, white or beige was the main color for computers. Then there was a move to black around 2000. Apple comes out and makes a move to Aluminum and White, something no other company really has done across the girth of their products.

So how do you differentiate? You make your high end a black one. For some reason not many companies go with a black matte scheme; I think it looks amazing.

I have, and it's only nice when it's new. Once it looks the tiniest bit dirty, or greasy from fingerprints, it's not nice.


And why would I choose any of the PLASTIC versions of the MBA when I can stick with aluminium?
