No you cant i read on the engadget review its only compatible with MBA.... why would you want to do so? Is the MBP one damaged?

nobody would waste their time doing something like that, sorry if i sound rude.

Its just that there are so many other problems that need to be solved and frankly much more interesting things to do, rather than hack an ordinary mac to use a MBA external drive when it would serve no point to public.

maybe his macbook pro does not have a superdrive and the MBA drive is cheaper than having one built in?
