Hello,

I recently upgraded my 128GB early 2015 macbook air SSD to sabrent 1 TB.
So far I've installed mojave twice (fresh). It works fine for a while but after a while it starts crashing on wake up and reboots automatically.
Prior to sleep I had a lot of chrome tabs open so I don't know if that can be the issue and if so, how to fix it.
The few times that it didn't reboot (still crashed for a few second), I noticed a huge burst on CPU (I use menumeter) and the temperature at the wake up.

Can anyone give me some possible solution and advice on this?

Thank you,

EDIT: the computer crashed both before and after of the following lines:

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25
sudo pmset -a standby 3600

EDIT2: I just several chrome tabs (like 30 of them) and it didn't crash after wake up. Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you for your reply. I'm using the long sintech (this one) and Boot ROM Version: 186.0.0.0.0
what's the latest bootrom version?

I'm trying to let it crash again to post the crash log too.
[doublepost=1560961239][/doublepost]For some reason I can't edit my previous post to add this. But I have a question:
If the mac crashes and reboots on wake up, do I still the the crash log? (sorry if this is stupid question)
[doublepost=1560962828][/doublepost]EDIT 2: More information
Model Identifier: MacBookAir7,2
Boot ROM Version: 186.0.0.0.0
SMC Version (system): 2.27f2
[doublepost=1560963662][/doublepost]Also this is already applied:
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25

The Air is running the latest bootroom and should be working fine with the drive and hibernate mode 25.

When you say it crashes, do you mean it generates a grey stem and forces you to hold the power button down to restart?

That's one type of the crash I experienced. I experienced two crashes during working (super weird) and it rebooted suddenly.

I ran the device diagnostic tool (shutdown -> hold d and turn on the computer). everything was ok.
I actually got another kernel panic and this time I am pasting it here:

Any idea?
I tried to google a little bit and one was suggesting the encryption could be the problem (drive is formatted with APFS+Encrypted). Can that be true?

I have also changed the Sintech adapter to the shorter adapter and last night and since then I haven't experienced a panic yet. I read a little bit that the longer adapter bends the ssd a little bit which is not recommended. Could that possibly be the issue?

Thanks

Try formatting the drive without encryption and see if you are still having these issues. If so then I would suspect the issue to be the storage drive.

I changed the adapter to the short Sintech adapter and haven't had this problem since the change. Hopefully that was the culprit. Thank you everyone for your help.
