I've had this machine for close to five years now and have had no problems with it. When my friend FaceTimed me, apparently there was no camera detected. The green light didn't appear next to the camera either. I restarted the machine, did an SMC and PRAM reset and still nothing. Some light researching led me to believe the latest macOS update nuked the camera for the mid 2012 model. I'm planning to do a reinstall of the OS this weekend but if it's not going to work... I don't even want to try. Is anyone else having this issue?
