Hello:
Just two weeks ago I received a MacBook Air of 2017 (13 inches). After using it for a few days, I noticed that in the left corner the black hinge is slightly separated from the aluminum while in the right part it is completely attached. I would like to know if I should worry about this since it is my first macbook and my previous laptop broke due to a problem on the hinge. I attach a photo showing the hinge separated from the aluminum on the left side.

Thank you very much

That black, plastic part is the hinge clutch cover, not the hinge. The Air has two hinges: one on each side of the screen and the black plastic is just a cover. Looks fine to me.

If the plastic doesn't move as you open or close the lid and the screen frame doesn't rub against the plastic, it should be fine.
