I had this issue with my keyboard on macbook air M1 in october that after pressing “4” key it started putting it several times in a row. It continued for like a week then the key just stopped working. All the time I used the virtual keyboard so that was ok. But yesterday, after like three months, i pressed it by accident and the situation happens again after typing for some time. For example, i was typing some text for like 2 hours, and after this time “4” started appear again. What should I do? I don’t really trust services in my town to repair it. I would really appreciate any help.

You can try to detach the key, but it might be difficult to put it back.
