Sometimes my Macbook Air M1 have trouble with charging, mostly after i turned it off wait a bit and restart, then my Air is not charging.
The only solution is to unplug and plug in again then the Air is charging again.

Have someone similar troubles?

I don't understand the decision-making process to charge or not. Also, it depends on the charging source if I'm not using the Apple charger.

Me too i use the original charger, but like i say the problems is here. I have always pluged my Air, but sometimes its charge and sometimes not (the plugin logo disapears) and the battery goes nearly empty.

I face similar problem. When I charge my MBA over night, disconnect it in the morning, use it until cca 60 % and then connect the charger it won't start. I have to reconnect it, sometimes even twice.

Everything has been going well with my MBA M1 until today. I do not keep it plugged in. Instead, I run the battery down to 10-15% and plug it in. Today, I plugged it in when it alerted me of lower power at 10% and it displayed the charging icon. About 30 minutes later it shutoff briefly and restarted. The battery reported a 1% charge. I don't know if my approach to leaving it unplugged and only charging when necessary caused this issue or not. I keep the Optimized Battery Charging option checked and wasn't doing anything taxing beyond a browser and Office apps. Hope it was a fluke.
