Hello everybody,

this is my first post in this forum and I hope it is in the right place.

I bought a brand new MacBook Air M1 for around 1.6k. On the first glance it looked perfectly fine, but when I leaned back in my chair - full of fresh owner pride - a bright glow from under the keys A, S, and D shines in my eye. The keyboard underfloor lighting? It seems that the keys on the left side of the keyboard are not as need as the ones on the right. Is it supposed to be like that or is it a manufacturing mistake? I am unsure on what to do about it.

Many thanks and best regards
Joe

I can see a little light under the control key if I tilt my MBA just right but it isn't really noticeable. I would have never seen it if I had not seen your post.

there was a thread about that glow maybe 2 weeks ago here, some had a slight glare,
some had your glare, but the conclusion was to return the M1 MacBook if you are not happy with that for a new one.

everyday i read something abut how these MacBook M1 are not up to par and little problems are occurring beside the SSD sponging up space. figures.... since the local  store has this available everyday now.
