Macbook Air M1... mushy/soft feeling spacebar?

Is your Macbook Air's spacebar feel a little bit more mushy/less tactile than the rest of the keys, especially when pressing it on the top (like indicated in the image)? It works fine, always registers the keystrokes but I'm wondering if it's a defect or I'm just being OCD about my gadgets again.

Mine feels a little less tactile when pressed at that exact point as well, if I move my finger over an each either way it's normal. Must just be a design quirk.

you're pressing it wrong... haha mine feels fine tbh MBA base model.

Ditto. The pressure and interaction on my base MBA is even across the surface of the space bar.

Space Bar is something that sounds much cooler than it actually is.

Also, I just changed the keyboard from Swedish setting to UK setting and thus I have a slightly atypical usage pattern for any analysts out there.

You're not imagining things. I have both Air and Pro M1s on hand and notice a big difference. The Pro's keyboard feels snappier with a crisp pressure point. The Air's keyboard feels mushy across the board.

Ewwwww. They need to hurry up and release a TKL black keycap Magic keyboard... It's the one thing I hate about my iMac.

I got the MBP base model M1 and have the M1 Air, the air feels much more mush to me! The tactile input is just not there on the air in my opinion....

Hey guys, just received my M1 MBA yesterday...sooo happy with it except for this mushy spacebar. This thing wobbles back and forth; seems super soft and flimsy compared to the sturdiness of the rest of the keys. Other forums saying it's normal, I even find the spacebar sits a little higher than the other keys. Anywho just thought I'd express my feelings! How are y'alls spacebars faring?

The spacebar on my M1 MBA does not wobble back and forth or feel flimsy.
