I have a MacBook Air M1 running macOS Monterey 12.1 bought in May 2021. After the last update when I turn off my computer with wired headphones plugged in and then turn the computer back on again, it won't recognize the wired headphones. Every time I have to unplug and plug them back in for them to work again. There is also no sound from the MacBooks speaker when the headphones are plugged in after restart (as well as no sound from the headphones), but as soon as I unplug them sound is working fine. I might add I also experience the annoying bug with audio popping every now and then, that you can read more about here.
