MacBook Air M1

Hello everyone,
I have been reading this forum for quite some time and actually signed up to get some advice. I'm thinking of getting the Mac M1 (2020) it's on sale for $800 at Best Buy. I'm looking to replace my 2017 Air. Any advice or tips will be good.

Excellent machine. I suggest get 16GB RAM version if you frequently do anything demanding.

M1 is a bit old a this point. It’s been on sale for $800 or less for more than a year. Best value now would be an M2 Air. If you’re aiming for lowest price, M1 is obviously lower.

M2 air had been going on sale more these days, I would check out sales on that as well, it's a pretty nice upgrade overall. Better screen, camera, bigger screen, better webcam, faster ram, chip, lighter.

If you're tight on budget the M1 is still a great machine for $800, still faster then most laptops out there in that price range
