Hello,

I am new to purchasing Macs and plan to record and edit gameplay videos, as well as possibly do some video game streaming. I would like to know about the user experience between the Mac Mini M2 and the MacBook Air M2, particularly for video game streaming (such as streaming from a PS5 using Remote Play or connecting a capture card) and basic video editing.

I am interested in the performance of both devices, especially in terms of stuttering, freezing, and other performance issues during streaming (I believe there might not be a significant difference in video editing).

I am inclined to choose the MacBook Air M2 because I want the convenience of using it while lounging in bed or elsewhere when not working. However, if the performance of the Air M2 in streaming is significantly different from the Mini M2, I would consider opting for the Mini M2 instead.

Thank you.

Biggest difference is the fan in the mini for sustained performance vs no fan in the MBA. Depends on if you prioritize gaming or portability. Highly doubt you'll see a difference for short burst tasks. Highly suggest going on YouTube and checking out reviews, plenty of them.
