Hi, I have a normal glossy and matte laptop and it is difficult to view either outdoors in daylight - was wonder how good the Air's LED screen is -

Is it really clear and as good as indoors almost outside, or do you still have to squint and reposition the screen?

That would really have to depend on the place ur in.

In an office environment, my MBA display is usually set at around half brightness. When I'm onsite (outdoors) I usually boost it up to 3/4...

Depending on light conditions, will put in it a position least susceptible to reflection as it can be quite distracting at times...

Compared to virtually all other laptops I've seen the MBA's brightness is excellent. That being said, I have the glossy screen and on a bright sunny day it is still hard to see, especially if it's not a pure-white background.

All in all though, a fantastic laptop is with a great screen.

The good side of the grass.
I can view my air's screen outdoors in sunlight BUT it has to be cranked to full brightness and angle tweaked a bit for glare. All in all, the only screen I can honestly say that I've tried that can be really outside - glossy, matte or otherwise.

Agree, I wish it had no backlit, yellow artefact problem :(

Having no yellow issue on MB, I'd much rather prefer to have MBA's screen here.

I've only observed yellowness on other guy's MBAs, at starbucks, jealously peeking in from really big angle.
So I believe it'll really become an issue if you use MBA to show a document to more than two people at once.
