I am getting fed up with having to reset the PMU. Is this a wide spread problem?

Simply streaming internet radio will cause heat and fans to blow until I reset the PMU, then it starts up again a few days later. Also, the MBA when closed will not sleep properly and the battery will continue to drain.

Thanks in advance!

Do you actually reset the PMU (Using the COPS command) or just restart the computer. Yes, it is a know problem. If it is really a big deal, take it to an Apple Store.

I have to do the COPS method to fix the issue. When I went back to the store, Apple looked at me like I was talking about PC's.:(

They went even as far to say that the MBA was an underpowered unit that might have issues with todays web app's.

Needless to say.. I walked out of the Bonehead Bar.

Well, it they weren't helpful, I'd ask to speak to the manager, and then call Apple Care. If you are really not satisified, call Apple Care, explain the problem, and maybe they will have a solution for you.
