Hi,

So I was having alerts that my start up disk was almost full. I forgot to empty it and suddenly I got an alert that my start up disk was completely full. I tried to start deleting things but my trash application on my MacBook air is not working at all and I cannot delete anything. What should I do? Help! Nothing is functioning on my computer... :(

Thanks!

Maddy

Boot in SAFE mode, hopefully that will give u enough breathing room to delete things. Not a good idea to ignore the big red engine light.

Maddy, what OS are you running on your MBA? Are you running Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra?

If you're using High Sierra then try doing this:

1. Terminal and type
2. df -h
3. sudo tmutil disablelocal
4. Enter your password when asked
5. Check your storage again
