So, I got the 11 in macbook air yesterday, and the size and weight of this thing is absolutely amazing! Its so thin, I feel like it could snap in half any second! How strong do you think it actually is? For example, Can I throw it in my backpack with my books and head to school w/o worrying?

The real question is: Will it blend?

But seriously: be careful with putting it into your bag without any protection. A sleeve is always a good idea to prevent dust and other small stuff to get in between the screen and the keyboard and to prevent the case from scratching.

Other than that it's important that there isn't too much pressure on the MacBook, otherwise the screen might be pressed onto the keyboard keys and they might leave an impression. You can also use a thin cloth to put on your keyboard before you close it up.

Bottom line: use at least a sleeve and be sure there's not too much pressure on it from books and other things.
