Macbook Air suddenly locked up

My MBA has been fine for a month and until yesterday it often locked up.

I can't move the trackpad, any keys on keyboard don't work.

i think it's totally locked up. because i saw the progress bar of firefox while it loads the website hung and freezed..

coolbook settings are the culprit.

I followed some guide in the other thread, by setting the throttling to high and the max temp to 85c. since then my macbook air keeps completely locked up and all i had to do was a hard reboot.

a hard boot i meant was powering the computer off by force, because it was frozen.

if you are getting issue when using coolbook then the voltage setting is wrong. edge it up a bit.

Oh, that really clarifies things! Hmmm 'power it off by force' I guess that could include slamming it against the wall, hitting it with a hammer, dunking it in water...

Ironic coolbook is fine if you use it right. It's these people who stumble on dozens of threads reading piss poor information and taking it as the "right" way of doing things. I'm pretty sure coolbook happened to save a lot of people some grief when it came to the Rev A heat issues.

I agree however, many updates if you remember, locked up coolbook, I never used it because of the posts here, some have used it and loved it.
