That IC would be most likely a controller for the battery. If theres juice flowing in it, it'll get hot no matter what.

I don't think removing the IC is a good idea at all. Can it be replaced? I don't know personally. Can you take it into Apple?

Removing a part from a computer is generally not a good idea. If it wasn't necessary, it wouldn't be in there in the first place.

IC gets hot when theres power GOING IN TO it.. thats what I mean juice.

Don't do anything.

And you have a Rev. A model, it will get hot. If the battery isn't lasting, most likely the battery is running out of health not because of the one little IC getting hot.

first thx for trying to help me .
yes maybe you are right but ..
1- the battery its new ,i change it 1 week ago in apple service center , and they did test on it bcz i get back and told them my problem ,,, it was healthy battery .
2- the IC get hot when the MBA it turned off .. not working . switch off .100%
and it go to normal temperature when i disconnect the battery .
3- i dont believe it normal to loss this power when the MBA off '' 20% in 4 hours '' so in 15 or 18 hour will be 0% and it happen form me and i lost the date and the time .
4- when the MBA working the place of the IC it got like hell very hot .

you can help me if you tell me where can i get the same IC or logic board ?
or how can i fix it ? '' i have technical skills but i dont have any idea or experience with the MBA''
thx again

Can you plz spell correctly, bcz its annoying?
Just spell it out like because and please. Prehaps the battery they replaced was bad? Apple wouldn't put a chip on the motherboard if it was not needed, DO NOT REMOVE IT.

any help masters ????

We gave you help? I can't find any service guide. If the service center says the battery is fine, then i don't know what else to try. Sell it on ebay for paprts, then get another computer. Or if you don't care about the Air, try removing it and let us know. I don't reccemond doing so, but its your computer.

Good luck
