Macbook air underpowered for OS animations?

Hi, the other day I was playing with the "new" Macbook airs, both 11 and 13 base models, when I used Expose the animation wasn't smooth, were this normal?

It's pretty darn smooth on mine. Might help that I have 4GB RAM though.

OP, Were you in the Apple Store? I bet they've been on for days, and have had a million programs loaded and unloaded and need a good restart.

Definitely an isolated issue. My 11" MBA runs portal 2 maxed out at native resolution at ~50fps. It can definitely handle OS animations.

things get jerky when the ram runs low on my 13" 2gb ram
