Hi!

Is it just me or the macbook air has a problem with backlight ? it's very very bright compare to my mbp 13.3 but it seems like the left part of the screen receive a lot more light than the bottom right of the screen. I notice that on the mbp pro but its worse on the mba.
I have a rev2 1.86 with a 9400

In this review (in spanish) they check the brightness levels on the screen, and there is a difference between center and bottom right corner (340cd/m2 vs 215cd/m2)

Anyone notice this looking at the screen ? seems like is going to be a problem for my eyes

It doesn't matter what model the Mac is, all are subject to a share of bad displays.

My display is really good on my current MBA. The bottom right corner (maybe two inches by two inches) is a slightly not as bright as the rest but only when the brightness is all the way down to the bottom two settings. When it's half brightness or higher, it's absolutely perfect. My other v 2,1 MBA didn't have any of that at any brightness. My original MBA had a beautiful display was amazing, but then it didn't matter as that computer was useless.

Most MBAs I have seen look really great when brightness is turned up. I have seen MBPs with much worse lighting as far as being evenly lit. The worst displays I have seen have all been on plastic MacBooks and the aluminum MBs before Apple switched to the better quality displays.

The important thing is for everyone buying a Mac to check their Macs as soon as they get them. Test everything and make sure there are no blemishes. If there's anything wrong, take it back in the first few days.

Thanx for the fast reply, I agree with you. It bothers me when setting is one or two usually when I'm using it at bed, in the mid or full setting the screen looks perfect. I bought it second hand, the testing was at full brightness and the screen looks faboulous, actually I think two step brighter than my macbook pro 13.
