MacBook Air with M2 chip is now available. Do we need to wait 365 days to buy a 16-inch MacBook with M2 chip?

More likely we will see the updated 14" and 16" MacBook Pros in the usual October event.
I don’t think that this will happen.
Look at corona situation, lockdown, Russia’s war of aggression, supply chains, chip shortage…
We will be happy to see the 16-inch MacBook Pro next year. Maybe in April or later.

It should happen as the only remaining Mac on Intel is the Mac Pro. I doubt Apple will try to keep to going for much longer given that I doubt Apple would want to support Intel binaries any further. Furthermore, if history repeats, the M2 Pro/Max/Ultra are ready if not in fab process now that the M2 has been released.

I personally don't see M2 Pro/Max/Ultra until sometime next year.

I believe M2 Macbook Pro 14" and 16" will be released next year. It''ll most likely be in October/November 2024. Hopefully Apple will add a Face ID by then?
But I don’t want to wait 1 year or more to buy the 16-inch MacBook Pro, when the M2 is already available.
When you buy the 16-inch M2, other people will buy the new MacBook Air with M3 chip🙄.
It‘s like being always 1 year or more behind if you are a professional user, which pays a very big amount of money🤬.
In my opinion Apple should release always the strongest chip (ultra) first, (max version) second, …

Apple store says it is currently unavailable. With supply issues it may be a few months before someone can actually get one in hand.
I imagine we won’t see a M2 16 inch MacBook this year.

Why do you care so much about naming if the performance is better? Silly.
