I have the newest revision of the MB 2.16 Ghz C2D. At my campus, the whole academic area has wireless but I am having issues with it. Sometimes I have to go to internet connect to connect to it, and sometimes it does it automatically. But about half the time, it disconnects after a short period of use. When I look at it in Internet Connect, it says it is "authenticating" in the status area. Sometimes it doesnt even get connected before it goes to the "authenticating" thing. What does this mean? Can I fix this or is my airport card a lemon?

I have same issue and it pisses me off.
My iPhone never does that, my Alienware laptop does it once every 2-3 days and my Macbook every 2-10 minutes.
Annoying as hell

I have a first gen 1.83 macbook and have a similar problem. It just disconnects, not even an 'authenticating' message, the internet just stops. If I click on the bars at the top, that seems to be enough to 'remind' the computer that it is in fact connected to the internet. I'm getting kind of annoyed now it happens so frequently. My hunch is that some firmware update wasn't perfect. I did not have this problem at first, but the last 2- 3 months it's been horrible...
