MacBook and Cinema Display?

Anybody out there have any idea if the forthcoming 'macbook' is likely to be compatible with an apple cinema display?
If so I'm going to buy a 20" one now for my current set up.

The upcoming "MacBook" will most likely be compatible with both the 20" and 23" Apple Cinema Displays (but not the 30"). Even the Mac mini is compatible with those ACDs so I would assume the MacBook will be also.

...But I would not base that large of a purchase on something that may not be true.

Yes it should work, but it should be noted that it might be limited to mirroring as opposed to screen spanning.

Does the computer suffer much of a performance hit with a cinema display running?

I think I would take the gamble given the current feedback. I plan to wall mount it and make my workspace about a zillion times more pleasant. Does anyone have any advice on this ergonomically - I suppose it would be too disjointed to do without a bluetooth keyboard and mouse?

Well, people have been running the 23'' Cinema Display on the Core Duo Mac Mini's, and they have the integrated graphics that everyone loves to hate. There has been speculation that the upcoming MacBook will also have integrated graphics, which means there will be no problems running it.

I'm sure your workspace will become a zillion times more pleasant with the ACD, wether it is wall mounted or not!

It would be stupid with VGA on a intel ibook . Is there any chance a nVidia FX 5200 128 MB DDR can support a 30". The plug looks like Duallink DVI.
