I use an Epson iprojector in school as a teacher. My old Macbook has no problem with it. But my brand new M2 Macbook
has somme trouble with the connection.
Perhaps my fault, I use to try the extended desk in my screen setting, and from then, I completely lost any connection with the Epson projector, and my Mac is showing a screen with my background but no possibility to change anymore my screen setting!!!
No possibility to go back in my settings, the Mac seem to have save my preference with this projector and I can't go back to the standard screen copy...

In the Display settings, can you see them side by side? If so, right click on the Epson projector and select Disconnect. That should let you reconnect it with a different mode if needed. If that doesn't resolve it, let us know what other troubleshooting steps, such as rebooting, you may have tried.

No, I can't see my displays setting because the Mac shows only the background, as if it is a second screen...but I have no access to the main screen because the Epson doesn't see it...

What happens if you disconnect the Epson projector? Does the MacBook's display return to normal? If not, you will need to reboot the MacBook. Press and hold the power button until it shuts down. They reboot without the Epson attached and your computer should be good to go.

How are you connecting to the Epson? What type of cable are you using? Also, be sure that the Epson has the correct input selected.

If I disconnect the Epson, my Mac return to normal, but I don't have access to all my display screen setting and options when not connected to a external screen... I'm connected to the Epson with a HDMI cable and a Adapter Apple AV: USB-C to HDMI. Thanks for help!
